You can probably afford a bigger house in Florida

Let’s math some math, shall we?

One important metric in real estate is the price per square foot—quite literally, the amount of money you are paying for each 12” square of house.

This number can vary widely depending on where you live. I’ll just leave a few numbers right here…

MEDIAN LISTING HOME PRICE PER SQUARE FOOT (per Realtor.com):
Hudson County, NJ: $576
Nassau County, NY: $486
Greenwich, CT: $775
Manhattan: $1500
Boston, MA: $948
Washington DC: $516

And one more:
Jupiter, FL: $456

So a 3,000 SF house in Boston would cost you $2.84M, and in Jupiter it would cost $1.37M.

I’m no accountant, but seems like a no-brainer to me 🤷🏻‍♀️
